Privacy Policy
This policy explains how DAHMANI LIMITED handles information in connection with AgeDoor Age Verification Gate (the "App"), a Wix app that shows an age question on websites.
1. Who we are
The App is published by DAHMANI LIMITED, a private company limited by shares, registered in England and Wales under company number 14723909. Registered office: 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, United Kingdom, WC2H 9JQ. Contact: support@dahmani.me.
2. How the App works
Site owners install the App and set it up in their Wix dashboard. Wix stores those settings and hosts the App. The age gate sends no visitor data to us. This legal page is hosted by Cloudflare, which may keep standard request logs when you read it.
3. Visitors' answers
- When a visitor enters a date of birth or a birth year, the check runs in the visitor's browser. The answer is never sent anywhere and is never saved.
- The browser saves only a small note with the age threshold and an expiry time. This note is kept in localStorage or sessionStorage.
- If a visitor refuses optional cookies through the site's Wix cookie banner, the note is kept for that visit only.
4. Site owner information
The App uses two Wix permissions:
- "Read site, business, and email details". The App doesn't use the email details.
- "Manage Embedded Scripts".
We use these permissions only to run the App. As the App's publisher, we can see install and sales information that Wix provides. Wix handles payment. We do not sell data.
5. Your rights
If you are in the UK or the EEA, you have rights over your personal data under the UK GDPR or the EU GDPR, including access, correction, erasure, restriction, objection and data portability, where they apply. To use these rights, or to ask a question about this policy, email support@dahmani.me.
6. Complaints
If you are in the UK and you are not satisfied with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
7. Site owners are controllers
Site owners are the controllers of their own websites. They must describe the gate, and any processing connected with it, in their own privacy notice.
8. Removing the App
Uninstalling the App removes the gate from the site.
